2018 CTPS Celebration

San Benito CISD will observe this year’s Celebrate Texas Public Schools weeklong campaign Monday, February 26 - Friday, March 2, 2018.

The Celebrate Texas Public Schools concept is not a new one. It was originally created in 1950 by the Masonic Lodges of Texas to recognize contributions made by the state’s free system of education. Today, the week-long celebration is a meaningful way to showcase the many educational opportunities given to over 5 million students attending Texas’ 1,000-plus school districts.

The CTPS campaign also encourages everyone throughout Texas to celebrate producing the state’s greatest resources successful students and the leaders of tomorrow.

“Each student’s future success comes through a quality education today. By sharing the good news of Texas public education, we can ensure enhanced opportunities for future generations of Texans,” explains Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nate Carman. “Talented teachers and caring staff members and administrators set a strong foundation for this success, which is truly something worth celebrating.”
