The San Benito Schools Public Relations and KSBG TV team participated in the 2025 Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Conference in San Antonio from February 17 to February 20.
The TSPRA Conference represents the foremost school public relations and communications professionals gathering in the State of Texas. It provides a valuable opportunity for attendees to engage with peers, exchange best industry practices, and gain insights into current trends and emerging technologies that enhance school district communications.
A key highlight of the conference is the TSPRA Star Awards Banquet, where TSPRA members are recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in over 57 categories. Attendees celebrate the achievements and distinctions of their peers throughout the year.
San Benito Schools is excited to announce that the Public Relations, KSBG TV, and Print Shop Departments have been awarded 19 Star Awards in various communication categories. This achievement includes 15 Gold Star Awards and 4 Silver Star Awards, recognizing the departments' communication initiatives during the 2023-2024 academic year. This marks the first time in nearly a decade that district staff have attended the state conference and received Star Awards for their professional contributions.
A list of those awards is forthcoming and will also be announced at the March Board of Trustees Meeting.
