Rudy Ramirez has been named Principal of Riverside Middle School.
A native of El Ranchito, Texas, Ramirez is a proud product of San Benito Schools. He was the Salutatorian of the San Benito High School Class of 2006.
Ramirez is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in History as well as a graduate of the University of Texas at Brownsville and University of Texas at Arlington with Master’s degrees in Instructional Technology and Educational Leadership, respectively. Inspired by his mother’s 29 years of experience and dedication to the children of San Benito CISD as a teacher assistant at La Encantada Elementary, Mr. Ramirez chose to purse a life of service in education as a History teacher at San Benito High School after graduating from UT in a mere 2-and-a-half years.
Ramirez is now in his fourteenth year of service. He served as an administrator alongside amazing teams of leaders with San Benito CISD at Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary, San Benito High School, Angela G. Leal Elementary, and the Central Office administrative team. Most recently, Ramirez served as an administrator with Brownsville ISD at the A-rated Hanna Early College High School.
Ramirez is a first-generation graduate and passionate leader who truly believes in the transformational power of public education to better the lives of the students and families served each day. He attributes the success and overcoming of the odds in his career and at such an early age to everything San Benito CISD invests in its students to be college and career ready – from the Gifted and Talented and Bilingual Programs at an early age to Dual-Enrollment and Advanced Placement Programs at the high school level.
Ramirez is the proud husband of Samantha Ramirez and proud father of John and Jemma Ramirez.
