A team of San Benito CISD Transportation Department employees were instrumental in assisting their La Joya ISD colleagues during an unexpected situation on the road. Through the team’s collaborative efforts, a group of Guillermo Flores Elementary students and staff were safely transported to the Gladys Porter Zoo while their school bus’ severely damaged tire and rim were replaced.

“It is our absolute pleasure to assist our neighbors. We are all one team,” said Director of Transportation Nancy Martinez, adding that there is an inter-district understanding on assisting each other’s respective Transportation Department should the need ever arise.
